MidwestMovement.com, as we’ve all seen over the years, has constantly evolved to serve the music scenes in the Midwest in a number of ways. I’ve put on shows, sponsored events, put out free sampler cd’s and downloads, managed bands, released records for bands, created an online magazine, and supported independent music in any possible.

While I will always have that extra special place in my heart for the Midwest, it’s time to grow. When I started my new company, Statusfear Media, last year the idea was to build on what was already established and make it better for everyone involved. While my whole concept of “Midwest Movement” is not going away, the boundaries are being lifted.

Introducing STATUSFEARMUSIC.COM

This new site will cover new music and tour dates from rock, metal, hardcore, alternative and indie bands, signed and unsigned, from across the country and beyond. I’m working with a number of labels and publicists to get accurate and informative news to post on a daily basis. I’ll still continue to support the hard-working independent bands from here in the Midwest. In fact, we’re co-sponsoring a tour by Minneapolis metal band Reaping Asmodeia in October.

Thank you for the continued support over the years. I’m excited for the new venture and to continue to play a part in promoting good music.
